Anne Whittle, nicknamed Chattox, was the head of one of the two unfortunate families accused of Witchcraft in England 1600', and hanged in Lancaster in 1612.
Dressed dramatically in black, her satin blouse is decorated with velvet braids and a feathery touch! Her double skirt is ornate with two layers of lace and two layers of gauze with a matching trimming of feathers. Her crinkly taffeta trousers and hat and are decorated with large voile bows. Even her velvet shoes are a perfect match for the hat, satin shawl and a double strand of beads necklace!
She is a beautiful porcelain creation, from our Witches of Pendle collection, of high detail recommended for the collector and enthusiast alike. These collectable witch dolls are not just for Halloween, but will make wonderful kitchen witch dolls!
Chattox measures 18 inches long and can hang from a transparent thread attached to her hat. Like all of our Pendle Witches, she comes with a complimentary copy of the Trial and History of the Witches of Pendle.
